Lifesaving GBS Treatments for 100 Patients in Gaza
150,000 SEK was donated to shipments delivered via Egypt to Gaza with PalMed Sweden (WHO partner).
In September 2025, medical equipment and supplies were delivered to Gaza. The shipment was sufficient to treat 100 patients with Guillain Barré syndrome and was carried out in close cooperation with PalMed Sweden, a partner organization to the World Health Organization.
Guillain Barré syndrome can rapidly lead to severe muscle weakness and paralysis. In Gaza, the number of cases had increased, while the necessary immunoglobulin treatment was completely unavailable. At the same time, hospitals were operating with extremely limited capacity.
