The project “Enhancing Access to Equitable and Inclusive Healthcare Services through the Provision of Essential and Life-Saving Medicines in Gaza”, funded by Björkåfrihet – Palestine Drinks/Safad Foundation, was implemented at Al-Awda Health and Community Complex in Al-Nuseirat, Deir Al-Balah Governorate. The project aimed to strengthen the availability of essential and life-saving medicines and support the continuity of inpatient healthcare services amid the severe pressure facing Gaza’s health system

The intervention responded to critical shortages of essential medicines and the growing demand for healthcare services in the Gaza Strip. Through the procurement and provision of essential and life-saving medicines, the project aimed to strengthen the Complex’s capacity to maintain timely and uninterrupted inpatient care and ensure that healthcare teams have access to the medicines required to treat patients and manage critical cases. This is consistent with the project’s intended output of improving inpatient care through ensuring the availability of essential and life-saving medicines
